The Colgate 26, designed by Steve Colgate and Marblehead native designer Jim Taylor, is a great sailing trainer, family daysailor, and one-design racer. It is used by U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, and Maine Maritime Academy as a training vessel. There is also a one-design fleet in Marblehead, MA that does very well in PHRF races.

The Colgate 26 offers a safe and fast platform, with a large cockpit surrounded by lifelines, a small cabin, spinnaker, and lead keel. It is incredible stable with lots of get-up, even in light wind. The addition of the Colgate brings another American-built, great-value sailboat to the Advantage dealership.
