The Colgate 26, designed by Steve Colgate and Marblehead native designer Jim Taylor, is a great sailing trainer, family daysailor, and one-design racer. It is used by U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, and Maine Maritime Academy as a training vessel. There is also a one-design fleet in Marblehead, MA that does very well in PHRF races.

The Colgate 26 offers a safe and fast platform, with a large cockpit surrounded by lifelines, a small cabin, spinnaker, and lead keel. It is incredible stable with lots of get-up, even in light wind. The addition of the Colgate brings another American-built, great-value sailboat to the Advantage dealership. The judging panel was impressed with several of the boats innovative features, the overall build quality and outstanding value. We just received an incredible Gulfstar 43 ketch into our inventory. In it’s day, Gulfstar was the Cadillac of sailboats. This is an incredibly seaworthy and spacious vessel. The ketch rig gives you many sail options. This boat has been fully updated: Air conditioning, Refrigeration, Windlass, GPS/Chartplotter, Radar, Autopilot, Wind, Depth, Speed, VHF and more. She has young sails and even a mainsail furling system. The boat is in our yard in Seabrook; call to see this boat before she gets away.

Well, we priced the Hunter 45CC (Center Cockpit) to sell quickly, and it did! Just days after reducing the price, a happy buyer emerged. We will be replacing the 45CC with the NEW 2008 Hunter 45DS. This boat offers the same twin-helm set-up as the Hunter 49, with the headroom and natural light found on the Hunter 41DS. Hunter TV provides you with the opportunity to watch detailed information on the full line of Hunter cruising sailboats. The videos cover three main topics — The Hunter Difference, The Hunter Factory Tour, and The Hunter Fleet.

The Hunter Difference describes Hunter innovations such as the arch and B&R rig, and the way that Hunter leverages its buying power to give you more boat for your money. The Factory Tour shows you how these beautiful sailboats are built, so you can see the quality of the construction and the seaworthiness of the design. The Hunter Fleet gives you an opportunity to focus on a specific model in the Hunter sailboat fleet, from the Hunter 27 to the Hunter 49, and everything in between.

The fall boat shows were good to us. We sold 2 of the 3 leftover Hunter ‘07 sailboats, and this beautiful Hunter 45 Center Cockpit is the last one. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with her. She’s a great sailing boat built on the same hull as the brand new Hunter 45DS. The model style will not change for years. But we have had her for 15 months now, and as the last leftover she will be sacrificed. She’s a 2007 hull number purchased at a 2006 price. Effective today the price has been reduced to $297,577, a savings of $62,799 from the original price of $360,376 and $86,373 from a comparable 2008 boat current price of $383,950. She will be sold as a new boat with full warranty from date of delivery.

This is not a bare bones stock boat. She is already well-equipped with $60,476 worth of options within the price given.
